Italian mixologist Nicoló Bolognino wins finale of Flor de Caña's Rum Frontiers Challenge

GRANADA, Nicaragua - Sept. 28, 2017 - PRLog -- With the spectacular islets of Granada and the Mombacho volcano as backdrop, Italian Nicoló Bolognino conquered the finale of Flor de Caña's Rum Frontiers Challenge, a competition that seeks to promote the art and talent of mixology around the world. Rum Frontiers Challenge, an original concept developed by Flor de Caña, took place in 2017 in countries such as Peru, United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and Czech Republic, where renowned bartenders in each country competed for the opportunity to travel to the international finale in Nicaragua.

For the finale in Nicaragua, the participating mixologists prepared their winning cocktails and also a special cocktail made with fresh local fruits and inspired by the volcanoes of Nicaragua, birthplace of Flor de Caña. The event's judges included Adrián Juárez, Vice-President of the International Bartenders Association (IBA); Mauricio Solórzano, Global Ambassador of Flor de Caña; Ricardo Méndez, Flor de Caña Ambassador in Chile; and Richard Albano, Flor de Caña Ambasador in México.

Bolognino, a notorious Italian mixologist, rose as champion of the competition with the cocktails he created using Flor de Caña rum and surprising the judges with their taste and presentation. As winner of the competition, Bolognino's cocktails will be promoted around the world by Flor de Caña.
