Author, keynote speaker, and resiliency expert Jenny Evans will share the best strategies to counteract the negative effects of stress as well as boost brainpower and positive mood states at the California Bankers Association 39th Annual Regulatory Compliance Conference at Paradise Point Hotel & Spa in San Diego. She will deliver the opening keynote on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 5:00 pm. Evans says, "If your professional and personal lives are demanding and result in years and years of accumulated stress, this alters your brain and its ability to think and feel appropriately. The resulting brain changes dramatically hinder your performance." Since the pace of business is moving faster than ever and multiple decisions need to be made quickly while avoiding costly mistakes, it is imperative that people feel capable of succeeding at their work and not overwhelmed by stress. A brain in overdrive has significant consequences including feeling: • a constant state of fight-or-flight • a diminished ability to learn, remember, and make decisions • more short-tempered, short-sighted and emotionally reactive • difficulty managing stressful situations • a downward spiral of missed opportunities Through a fun, engaging and thought-provoking talk, attendees will learn strategies on how a "Stress Proof Brain" can result in: • Improved mental capacity and cognitive performance: • Enhanced ability to access positive emotional states while decreasing anxiety, negativity and reactivity. • Vital and healthy brain neurons, while growing new neurons and increasing brain volume. • Improved health and resiliency In a knowledge-based economy, it's critical to optimize your brain's performance. If your brain is vital to how how you make your living - and for most of us it is - we need to be concerned about how we're getting the best performance out of it. This keynote will show you how to do that.
