IAABC's Executive Director, Marjie Alonso, immediately put out a call to all the organization's members, asking those who were able to donate their time and expertise to helping foster families meet the behavioral needs of their new dogs, cats, birds, or any other species of companion animal. The IAABC certifies animal behavior consultants— So far over one hundred IAABC members have volunteered their time, and their skills and availability will be matched with those foster families in greatest need. If you are fostering an animal made homeless after a recent hurricane, or you represent a foster-based rescue organization working with these animals, you can request free behavioral help from an IAABC volunteer by filling out this online form.
