By: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. About two dozen uniquely decorated trees, valued at $750 and above, will be on display during the 5-day festival. "We give you the tree; you decorate it for the public to see and admire for five days and nights," said Susan Hegarty, Southwest Florida Goodwill's Community Relations Coordinator. Festival-goers can vote for their favorite tree and ribbons are awarded. The Festival opens November 29 and runs through December 3, with Santa's Block Party and Brunch scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2. Raffle tickets are sold and tree winners are drawn on Sunday, Dec. 3. "Ideally we'd like to have all of our tree sponsors by Oct. 15, in time to host them at our sponsor Jingle Mingle," Hegarty added. Event sponsorship is also available. Several mini-events within the festival occur over the course of the event, such as Painting at the Art Center, Ugly Sweater Contest, Stage Entertainment and Bingo. Tree and Event Sponsorship information can be found at www.Goodwilltrees.com or contact Hegarty at (239) 652-1613 or susanhegarty@ Proceeds from this event go to the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation, in support of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties.
