CHICAGO - Sept. 22, 2017 - PRLog -- The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) announced today that it will host a FREE live webinar entitled, "Before and After the Storm: How Realtors Can Assist their Customers and Community" on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on crs.com.

In light of recent events, no community appears to be entirely safe from the threat of natural disaster. This webinar, led by CRS instructor, Kim Knapp, CRS and sales agent for Coldwell Banker in Fleming Island, Florida, will cover how real estate agents can help to prepare their communities for a disaster by:

·         Providing preparation information to their customers, community and social network regarding insurance, supplies, house prep leading up to the event, etc.

·         Know FEMA's role and what to do after an event has occurred

·         Stay top of mind and become a resource with preparation and recovery information.

"Real estate professionals are uniquely positioned to help their clients and the community prepare for potential disasters," said Peter Glowacki, Chief Learning Officer. "The Council is offering this free webinar to REALTORS® so they can be better able to respond and assist others with the most relevant and up-to-date information."

Over the past few weeks, hurricanes and earthquakes have devastated areas in the United States,  Caribbean, and Mexico and The Council and its members have contributed more than $25,000 to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation, to help disaster victims.
