RISHIKESH, India - Sept. 22, 2017 - PRLog -- Yoga and Ayurveda are the counterparts of one coin. Both are quite interlinked with each other, and both have originated in India as well; thousands of years past. Needless is to talk about the hype that yoga is having these days. It is popular across the globe, irrespective of gender, age, and physical construction. There are many fans of pranayama or breathing technique too.

Coming to Ayurveda, it is indeed equally popular these days due to growing threats of side-effects from chemical drugs. But, it's a fact at the same time that many people are still not aware of the relationship between yoga and Ayurveda. Such people either do yoga or follow ayurvedic therapeutic ways. As a result, they don't manage to get the best benefit of either yoga or meditation.

How Yoga and Ayurveda are complementary to each other?

Yoga is a broad thing. The literal meaning of yoga is unification. It means yoga is something that unites the soul with the universe. And, such unification is possible through the knowledge or wisdom. Ayurveda is the source of this knowledge. This means both yoga and meditation are complementary to each other. Hence, yoga is practiced in concurrence with Ayurveda can indeed assure about greater health and endurance. Following ayurvedic regulations also eases the practice of yoga.

Just like yoga, Ayurveda to is a huge concept. The best benefit of yoga can be got when the sensations in mind and emotions get stabilized. And, Ayurveda is the concept through which someone's hormonal imbalances can be treated and brought perfect balance in internal secretions. The best part about Ayurveda is that it can be personalized as per the requirement of a specific body type. In fact, ayurvedic ways can also be recommended as per the lifestyle of a person.

Balancing the doshas:

Ayurveda talks about the regulations that a person should follow for a healthy body and peaceful mind. These regulations are made as per the doshas. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha are the three primary doshas every human body has. Vata refers to the air element of the body; pitta refers to the fire and water elements, whereas kapha refers to the earth element of the body. Perfect balance of these three elements (Bata, Pitta, and Kapha) is the key to a healthy life. They need to be in right proportions for the perfect health of a person.

A little imbalance in any element leads to disease. Not just the health, the three doshas as explained above can also be linked with emotions and characteristics of a person. For example, Pitta is associated with enthusiasm, courage, aggression, etc. Kapha is associated with concentration, creativity, etc. Batta is related to intellect, patience, kindness, etc.

Ayurveda is the science that talks about philosophy and lifestyle essential to maintain the perfect balance between these three elements. And, when these three elements remain stabilized, it becomes easy for a person to reach the higher state of mind in meditation. Balanced doshas improve the immunity and thus the person can do greater yoga exercises for a stronger body.
