The Josie Music Awards Shows Out In A Pro-League Way at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sept. 22, 2017 - PRLog -- The 2017 Josie Music Awards made the Independent Music Community take over Nashville in a huge way!  The award ceremony was held at the Nissan Stadium on Sunday, September 17th.  This day included red carpet photo opportunities, incredible independent artist performances, performances from stars and legends, jumbotrons, and of course many walked away with a coveted "Josie" award.  This was the finale to an entire Josie Network Weekend of Events.  The Josie Music Awards also known as "The JMA's" or "The Josies" just celebrated its 3rd annual award show.

The Josie Network has proven they don't do anything small from the venue (Nissan Stadium) to the soaring number of attendees each year, this award show continues to amaze and impress!  Big, Huge, and bold with over 750 nominees, near 30 performances, and 92 "Josies" awarded there is no stopping this network team when it comes to celebrating all those in the independent music community.

The Josie Music Awards event also included performances from country star Bucky Covington (American Idol), legend LuLu Roman (HeeHaw), and rock star Manny Cabo (The Voice).  Many stars and legends also were in attendance to enjoy this wonderful day of music and celebration.  LuLu Roman was awarded The Lifetime Career Achievement Award and her performance was met with a standing ovation.  The Lifetime Musical Achievement Award was given to the Anderson Family (Lynn Anderson, Liz Anderson, and Casey Anderson).  The 2017 Josie Show Humanitarian Award was presented to Dean Holmen of The Music City Hayride.

The Josie Network acquired the Independent Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and inducted their first members this year at the Josie Music Awards ceremony. The 2017 Independent Country Music Hall of Fame inductees are Bobby Flores, Margie Singleton, and James T. Walden Sr. This memorable moment was just breathtaking as the Josie Network continues to honor those in Traditional Country Music.

We spoke with Josie Passantino and Tinamarie Passantino, owners of The Josie Network and we asked them what surprises they have in store for us next year and this is what they told us, "We are already working on next year's event as you know it starts with finding an amazing venue so we are already working on yet another massive surprise because you know there isn't much we wouldn't do to celebrate those in the independent music community.  We also want to thank everyone who jumped in to help us this weekend with 4 incredibly fun events, we couldn't have done it without all of them."

The full weekend of events included a taping of the 400th episode of The Josie Show (airing details coming soon), an Afternoon Showcase at Music City Bar and Grill, Pre-Party Gathering at The Hard Rock Cafe, and the 2017 Josie Music Awards at the Nissan Stadium.
