Bella Charters Celebrity Yacht Event for Charity on October 29th

Oct. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- On Sunday, October 29^th a celebrity cruise hosted by actor Matthew Rhys will sail around Manhattan on a private yacht donated by the award-winning Bella Charters. This will be a truly unique experience and is only available to the first three couples or six individuals that RSVP.  All proceeds will be split evenly to benefit these two causes: Best Friends Animal Society to help Hurricane Harvey shelters, and Omnia Salem's educational fund; the daughter of the recently deceased coworker and friend, Yasser Salem.

When: Sunday, October 29^th, 2017 at 4:00pm – 8:00pm

What: Come aboard a 40-foot private yacht donated by Bella Charters LLC on October 29^th for a special charity event hosted by Matthew Rhys: FXs 'Phillip Jennings' of The Americans. Cruise around the island of Manhattan from 2pm – 4pm and enjoy a delicious dinner from GP's Italian Restaurant. Wine, spirits and soft drinks are donated by Bella Charters. Take part in the silent auction, which includes The Americans autographed memorabilia from the hit FX series. All proceeds will benefit two causes:

Best Friends Animal Society: This non-profit organization is working hard to help Texas Hurricane Harvey shelters. Donations are supporting both displaced pets and adoptable ones affected by the floods. Learn more at: https://bestfriends.org/hurricaneharvey/.

Omnia Salem: Omnia is the daughter of the recently deceased coworker and friend, Yasser Salem. His surviving wife is blind and the sole care taker of their 14 year old daughter, Omnia. Donations will be put into a managed fund, which has been set up to benefit Omnia and her future educational needs.

About Yasser:  Yasser Salem was a dedicated husband, father, and NY Waterway employee, He was a loving husband to his first love who lost her eye sight during their engagement.  His love never faltered which was evident in their brining Yasser's second love into his life – his daughter, now 14 years old. Yasser had recently returned to work after an 8-month recovery from slipping on black ice, injuring his back and breaking his right hand and ankle.  Ten days after returning to work, Yasser suddenly passed away leaving behind his wife who is completely blind and 14 year old daughter. At the young age of 55, Yasser leaves a void in the hearts of many.  Being the sole provider to his wife and daughter, 50% of the funds raised from this event will be put into a trust for his daughter.
