Basic works and standard process of Starting Construction at foundation level

DELHI, India - Sept. 19, 2017 - PRLog -- When we are done with house planning, budget planning, material source planning, labor source planning or chosen a contractor are done you can proceed to start the construction. Remember while starting the construction work by contractor at site after approval of the drawings and designs, the following works should be considered.

Layout and Excavation

•        The leveling of site has to be done by removing all the waste or roots of trees if exist any. Make it a plane land. In case of basement dig the site as per provided drawings for the same.

•        Site Lay outing has to done by white powder or "chunna" as per drawings. Corners on plot for column have to be marked and small brick wall has to done.

•        Now you can start the excavation for foundation according to the designs and exact width and depth of the columns or wall should be dug. If extra depth is made due to any reasons or any soft places found, those should be filled in with coarse sand or concrete.

•        In case the water comes in trenches, it should be pumped out immediately.

Concreting of Columns and False Beams

• Follow the drawings of column details to fix the steel jail at base and follow the concreting mix ratio for standing up the columns. A basic brick souling can be done before putting the jail at base.
• After coming at Plinth level/DPC level which has to be fixed keeping in view the H.F.L (High Flood Level) and surrounding buildings and nearby roads, you can do the supportive brick work for the same.
• After dressing the side and bottom of the trenches, the cement concrete, mechanically or hand mixed should be laid in trenches.

Brick Work

• All the major Brick works at foundation level should be done according to house plans drawings

• Note the bricks to be used in foundation have to be of 1st class quality and they should be soaked in clean water by spraying.

• The joints of brick works should be filled up with mortar completely.

After crossing the plinth beam level you can follow the house plan drawings for further brick work, door window schedule, electrical drawings etc.
