Tom Hardin, Former FBI Informant, Announces September Speaking Engagements

NEW YORK - Sept. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- Tom Hardin, founder of Tipper X Advisors LLC, will be speaking at two events during the month of September.

• September 20th, Atlanta, GA, at the Southeastern Hedge Fund Association (SEHFA). SEHFA focuses its efforts on providing a professional forum to enhance the visibility, accessibility and interaction of the southeastern alternative investment community. SEHFA sponsors meetings with speakers and programs featuring both hedge fund managers and key investment industry professionals. In so doing, SEHFA strives to promote the growth and development of the southeastern alternative investment community in addition to keeping members informed of industry and regulatory changes, industry best practices, and the current investment environment.

Hardin will deliver the keynote address "The Inside Story of Tipper X."

• September 21st, Washington, DC, at the Standards Board for Alternative Investments' (SBAI) Institutional Investor Roundtable. The SBAI is a standard-setting body for the alternative investment industry and acts as custodian of the Alternative Investment Standards. This provides a powerful mechanism for creating a framework of transparency, integrity and good governance so as to maintain a high reputation for the industry, facilitate investor due diligence and complement public policy, thus serving the interests of all market participants and of the economy at large.

Hardin will speak on a panel discussing compliance, insider trading prevention and instilling the right culture.

Tom Hardin (http://www.TipperX.com) previously spent much of his career as a long-short hedge fund analyst focused on equities in the technology sector. In 2008, as part of a cooperation agreement with the Department of Justice, Hardin assisted the U.S. government in understanding how insider trading occurred in the hedge fund industry. Known as "Tipper X," Hardin became one of the most prolific informants in securities fraud history, helping to build several of the 80+ individual criminal cases in "Operation Perfect Hedge," a Wall Street house cleaning campaign that morphed into the largest insider trading investigation of a generation.
