ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Sept. 14, 2017 - PRLog -- TireStamp reported that its TireVigil™ Cloud Service, a truck tire monitoring system, enabled 5366 Logistics fleet owner, Dan Bitton, to successfully deliver medical supplies to Florida hospitals in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

On Friday night, September 8th, Dan received a request from a Chicago headquartered international medical supply corporation to assist in the delivery of medical supplies to Florida to resupply hospitals as Hurricane Irma blew through the state. He picked up a trailer loaded with medical supplies and headed from his Chicago area base of operations to Florida.

On Saturday at 9:03pm in Pensacola, FL TireVigil Cloud Service sent a warning alert to him that his left front outer drive tire was down 18 psi. Twenty minutes later the TireVigil Cloud Service alerted him that this same tire's pressure had dropped 24 psi. On Sunday morning at 2:51 while Dan was taking a much needed rest, the TireVigil™ Cloud Service issued a catastrophic alert for this tire that was then down to 52 psi from its target pressure of 105 psi.

Later that morning TireStamp could see that Dan's tire had been repaired and he was on his way again from Pensacola to his destination in Miami with all tires in good order.

Dan believes that TireVigil Cloud Service proves the value of 24/7 tire data analysis when he contacted TireStamp and said, "Thank God for your system. I'm so glad it told me about the nails I picked up. TireVigil absolutely saved the day.  I refused to continue until I located a repair service. The tire had 6 nail penetrations and required replacement.  I replaced both drive tires.  This mission was critical and I had a state police escort. To be honest, checking tires was the last thing on my mind. Had TireVigil not alerted me I would most likely have blown both drive tires given my weight. I know my partner TireVigil is watching my tires, and am truly grateful for it."

24/7 monitoring by TireVigil Cloud Service looked out for Dan while he was dealing with all the complications of travelling in Florida in the wake of hurricane Irma by tracking the tire problem when it first developed beginning on Saturday evening until it became a potentially catastrophic condition by early Sunday morning due to nails that he unknowingly had driven over.

After his tire was repaired by a local tire dealer in Pensacola Dan Bitton had confidence that he could drive safely to his destination in Miami due to the visibility TireVigil™ Cloud Service provides.

For fleets that need to get important goods to their destinations, on-time and without incident, whether traveling into disaster areas or just ensuring that customers' goods are delivered with confidence in normal weather conditions, TireVigil™ Cloud Service is what they depend on.
