PARIS - Sept. 15, 2017 - PRLog -- Discover Paris!, a tour operator that provides guided walking tours on the African diaspora in Paris, announced today that it has created an on-line schedule for its popular "Black History in and around the Luxembourg Garden" tour.

The roughly two-hour walk explores the beautiful Luxembourg Garden located in the heart of Paris, where participants learn about the histories of African-American luminaries such as Richard Wright, Victor Séjour, and Henry O. Tanner.  Compelling stories of black writers, artists, and musicians – American and French – are featured.  The myth of the black Statue of Liberty and the contemporary sculpture that commemorates the abolition of slavery in the French colonies are also presented and discussed.

The general public is largely unaware of the rich contributions that persons of African descent have made to Paris' cultural fabric.  "Black History in and around the Luxembourg Garden" shines a bright light on these contributions in an idyllic setting in central Paris.

Travelers to Paris who wish to book this tour can now select the available date of their choice and register on-line:
