CHANGNING, China - June 5, 2017 - PRLog -- SHANGHAI,  – Complex Adaptive Leadership (CAL) won the 2017 Gold Medal for Executive Development, awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The leadership programme designed by Professor Nick Obolensky, the Founder & CEO of Complex Adaptive Leadership (CAL), was delivered to Nokia in partnership with a simulation company, Abilitie Inc.

The EFMD Awards are awarded each year following a rigorous competition judged by a jury of leading international senior executives from Multi Multinational Companies (MNCs), academics from leading business schools and leadership experts.  These awards are the internationally recognised "gold standard", and awarded to programmes in 4 categories: Executive, Talent, Organisational and Professional development. CAL achieved the Gold Medal in the Executive Development category, beating other finalists including the University of Oxford's Said Business School.

CAL Adaptable Leadership Programme (ALP) gained good impact and changed leadership behaviours, as well as achieving on average a 4-month payback on total programme costs.  The ALP has so far been delivered to over 700 Nokia middle to senior managers from around the world.

CAL will share the podium with other Gold Medal award winners in other categories that include INSEAD (for Organisational Development) and the Centre for Creative Leadership (for Talent Development).

Previous award winners for Executive Development include world leading business schools such as Cranfield School of Management, Said Business School, Chicago Booth School of Business, London Business School and Wharton School of Business.
