DENVER - May 31, 2017 - PRLog -- After Cotton Hobbs was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in June 2012, family and motorcycle friends from all over held a benefit to help Cotton and his wife, Gail Ash, in their time of need.

The following year, Cotton wanted to pay it forward to help other bikers/biker families in similar situations.   "I was in a coma for 27 days, in the hospital for 74 days, suffered broken bones in my jaw, collarbone, rib, wrist, and sustained major head and leg injuries.   I personally experienced the stress of having medical bills accumulate and also experienced the kindness of people in the community that wanted to help me with all of the unexpected costs I incurred."  The following year, Cotton and Gail organized the first "Annual Cotton Cares Run" motorcycle event to raise money for someone in the Denver motorcycle community who needed some kind of financial assistance.

At the first event, the ride benefited Laradon Hall which specializes in services to children/adults with developmental disabilities.   The following years' events benefitted the family of a young man needing chemotherapy and the family of a 5-year-old girl who was fighting high risk stage IV Neuroblastoma.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017.  Registration and the ride will begin at 9:00 am at T-Bird Roadhouse, 9701 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO, and all bikes/cars are welcome.   The stops are T-Bird Roadhouse, Roy's Last Shot (Rollinsville/Black Hawk), Two Bears Tap and Grill (Idaho Springs), and In The Zone (Golden).   Roy's Last Shot will be providing an all-you-can eat taco/salad bar for $10 with one-half the proceeds going back to the benefit.  The final stop will be at T-Bird Roadhouse where there will be live music and prizes.  The public is welcome to attend.
