I personally experienced the stress of having medical bills accumulate and also experienced the kindness of people in the community that wanted to help me with all of the unexpected costs I incurred." The following year, Cotton and Gail organized the first "Annual Cotton Cares Run" motorcycle event to raise money for someone in the Denver motorcycle community who needed some kind of financial assistance. At the first event, the ride benefited Laradon Hall which specializes in services to children/adults with developmental disabilities. The following years' events benefitted the family of a young man needing chemotherapy and the family of a 5-year-old girl who was fighting high risk stage IV Neuroblastoma. This year's event will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
