LOS ANGELES - May 16, 2017 - PRLog -- More and more people are playing tennis, and new equipment, such as racquets with polymer strings, is increasing the speed of play, so it is understandable there is an increase in the number of foot, ankle and leg injuries caused by the sport.

With this in mind, Dr. Eric Feit and Dr. Alona Kashanian of Precision Foot and Ankle Centers share their experience managing tennis injuries in their article, "Preventing and Treating Injuries of the Lower Extremity," published in the June issue of "Podiatry Today."

The article explains the mechanics of common tennis injuries -- muscle strains, Achilles tendonitis, ankle sprains and plantar fasciitis -- as well as exercises players can use to help get them back on the court.

If you are unable to pick up a physical copy of "Podiatry Today," view the article on the magazine's website at podiatrytoday.com.
