Securing Blue responds to ransomware attack and meets with IBM team

DUBAI INTERNET CITY, UAE - May 13, 2017 - PRLog -- As the shock waves of the unprecedented cyber attack were being felt globally, leadership teams were scrambling to see if their organizations were affected. Securing Blue, a cyber risk management startup, that recently partnered with IBM, held an unscheduled meeting on Saturday morning in Dubai to review the severity of the the ransomware threat to businesses in UAE.

During the meeting it was decided that Securing Blue would set up a cyber risk and response unit to facilitate businesses that were being affected by the ransomware.

The outcome from the meeting was that Securing Blue would invest in creating a Cybersecurity Threat & Response Task Force. A hotline phone number will be announced, and will be accessible to businesses throughout UAE.

Saleem Qureshi, who serves as Securing Blue's Chairman said "the Task Force's main goal would be to help spread awareness of the various cyber threats that are present, and help organizations to reduce their cyber risk".
