Women's Motorcycle Rally Donates to Girls' Treatment Center

MAGNOLIA, Texas - May 10, 2017 - PRLog -- Lace, Grace & Gears (LGG) second annual motorcycle rally estimates 2,000 women motorcycle riders to arrive in the Texas Hill Country from September 28 to October 1, 2017. Rally administration and events are based out of 2E Twin Elm Guest Ranch, 810 FM 470, Bandera, Texas 78003.

Lace, Grace & Gears names Krause Residential Treatment Center in Katy, Texas as the 2017 beneficiary of rally proceeds. Krause is a treatment center for abused girls (ages 12-18).  It is home to up to 60 adolescents.

Girls in residence at Krause have been through the Foster Care, Juvenile Probation, or Child Protective Services systems and experienced traumas due to extreme neglect, physical or sexual abuse, or sex trafficking. During their stay, the girls receive on-site group therapy as well as one-on-one counseling. They learn life, vocational, and social skills.

A 501(c)3 organization, Lace, Grace & Gears rally designates a beneficiary each year to receive rally proceeds. Candidates are charitable organizations benefitting women and children.

In 2016, the rally's first year, Lace, Grace & Gears donated $20,000 to Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org), a national nonprofit that provides military families with housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease, or injury.

Layne Neuenfeldt, Lace, Grace & Gears Executive Director and Founder, hopes to surpass this amount in 2017. "We are honored to be able to support these strong young women at Krause in their recovery," says Neuenfeldt. "We will support their talents at the (Lace, Grace & Gears 2017) rally by displaying their incredible artwork and by hosting three chaperoned girls for the weekend."

The 2017 Lace, Grace & Gears beneficiary, Krause House is a non-profit organization and a division of Lutheran Social Services.
