Pete's Tire Barn Pledges $7,500 to Athol Hospital Emergency Department & Medical Office Building

GARDNER, Mass. - May 8, 2017 - PRLog -- Pete's Tire Barn of Gardner, MA has pledged $7,500 to the Heywood Healthcare 'Fulfilling Our Promise' Capital Campaign, a community-responsive, multi-pronged fundraising initiative, designed to ensure that the healthcare needs of the community will be met now and in the future.

This pledge will support the construction of a new Emergency Department and outpatient Medical Office Building at Athol Hospital, creating a state-of-the-art center that offers double the current capacity, with 13-exam rooms, including eight private acute care rooms and five behavioral rooms within a behavioral health suite, and a separate ambulance entrance. It will also include a new lobby for improved patient and visitor access and a new radiology department providing enhanced care and privacy. The second and third floors will serve as medical office space, housing behavioral health services as well as primary care and specialty physicians.
