We can't wait to welcome everyone to the Hackney Marshes to get moving either during the running events or dancing through the crowd. We have lots of on offer for people coming down from fantastic local food partners to added extras such as barbers and flower crowns. Global CEO of Virgin Sport, Mary Wittenberg Whether you're taking part, supporting a friend or just coming for the atmosphere, here's everything you need to know: The Hackney Half Marathon – The jewel in the Virgin Sport Hackney Festival of Fitness' crown, the 13.1 mile headliner sees runners race through roaring crowds and take in the Hackney Downs, Hackney Empire, Broadway Market, Victoria Park, and the London Stadium. 5.5km Run – Virgin Sport's unique distance event, 5km is great, but we ask our runners to give 110% and really push themselves to tackle the extra half kilometre. Go Fit Yourself Stage – A chance to come and train together with London's most sought after instructors for FREE! With classes from the likes of; Faisal Abdalla, Bradley Simmonds, Marawa's Majorettes and Fat Buddha Yoga taking place throughout the day, you'll be spoilt for choice. Post-Race Physio/Massage – Feeling aches and pains post-race? Then make sure you visit the team from Your Physio Plan to get those niggles dealt to. Mr Doodle – Mr Doodle is a crazy doodler from England! His work contains a mixture of characters, objects and patterns that contain influence from cereal boxes, video games and old cartoons; resulting in a fun and unique blend of doodle craziness. Mr Doodle will be creating a live drawing on the day. Come and Chill Out - We have bean bags, deck chairs and picnic tables to sit, celebrate and soak up the fantastic Hackney atmosphere. Food and Drink - The festival village has a whole host of local food and drink traders for you and your friends. Pop ups and trucks will be serving up everything from pizza and mouth-watering burgers, to green juices, buddha bowls, beers and even celebratory bubbles! Best of all, most are local Hackney favourites already. Kids of all ages – For the kids and adults with inner kids, there are football workshops with Coats and Goalposts and climbing walls to test your skills. For the very little kids, Hackney Playbus will be there filled with arts and crafts, and other fun things. Pall Mall Barber – Noticed your beard getting too long or can't fit all your hair in your man-bun? Pall Mall Barbers will be there to give you a free haircut and beard trim. Flower Crown – Our local friends, The Flower Appreciation Society will be making their beautiful floral head dresses for everyone to enjoy in the festival village – put on your headdress/crown/ There's something for everyone including all your gluten/dairy/ If you'd like to come down there are still tickets available for the 5.5k and general admission along with exclusive VIP tickets to the stretch session.
