Charles R. Urban, with a love of fasteners, started Jet in 1946 with a big dream in Inglewood, CA and a passion for the aerospace industry. In 1960, Robert J. Hatch joined him and was instrumental in broadening the product offering to better serve the commercial market industries. When Charles died in 1967 Bob became the next president of the growing company. Bob had performed his duty well during his career, and upon his retirement in 1990 he sold the business to Dana Garlock and Jim Furgo. In 2005, Jim retired and all the responsibilities were assumed by Dana Garlock. The journey was not easy but the dedication of employees and leaders steered the company through many recessions and many very successful years which have allowed Jet Fitting to be considered not only a stalwart of the industry, but also a preferred wholesale supplier of rivets, bolts, screws, and thousands of other fasteners.
