BARRIE, Ontario - April 2, 2017 - PRLog -- The recent suicide of Amy Bleuel, founder of Project Semi Colon has left many in shock. Bleuel, who used a semi colon to sybolize that suicidal ideation can be a pause, not an end, lost her battle to mental illness.

This tragedy only reinforces the need for support and awareness for those who battle mental illness. No one agrees more than Ontario-native Natalie Harris, author of Save-My-Life School, which was recently released by Wintertickle Press.

Harris's raw and very compelling memoir chronicles her battle with mental illness, PTSD, depression, addiction, overdoses and suicide attempts. She was lucky enough to get the help she needed to be able to live "in recovery."

Harris explains in her book, "The bottom line for me is I will never be fully recoverd. I will always be in recovery."

For some, there is no magic bullet, and tools for dealing with their illness are essential. Harris's book exemplifies the many ebbs and flows of mental illness throughout the course of her book.

Save-My-Life School is available in most Indigo and Chapters stores for $24.95. It is also available in most ebook formats.
