NEW YORK - March 25, 2017 - PRLog -- Author Christopher Duquette, like many LGBTQ community members, started life as an ordinate individual raised in a stereotypical nuclear household with "good" parents, friends and relatives. He dated young ladies from respectable families, and began attending discotheques throughout New York City before learning his was, in fact, homosexual.

No matter his sexual proclivity, Christopher knew he loved to dance, and that he danced very well. So began his career as a disco dancer and club regular. At the time, being a regular at Studio 54 meant getting to know the latest and greatest in the entertainment, sports and other prominent industries. "HOMO GOGO MAN: A Story About A Boy Who Grew Up in Discoland," shares a history of the disco era, while also sharing a story about coming-of-age, coming-out of the proverbial closet, drugs and alcohol, and recovery to achieve whole life balance.

Whether LGBTQ or not, "HOMO GOGO MAN: A Story About A Boy Who Grew Up in Discoland," is a story that is true. As a memoir / biography it is also a story that is riveted with real-life drama, liberation, loss, trauma and triumph. Shaved in these pages are little known facts and tell-all-tales about some of the world's most figurative members of society during the "Disco Era."

From the Author:
I am beginning to field my title once more in NYC after a sabbatical in rural New York to re-calibrate from over technologicalization of my life; however, all things come full circle, and I missed the Big Apple. Currently, I hail in Jamaica Queens NYC and I am busily finding my path to the hidden niche's of books, people, and readings . . . look for me throughout our great city and beyond in the 2017 - 2018 book-signing circuit.

If you have a venue, bookshop, store, grocery mart, location for a book reading and signing - I'm interested in hearing from you and so is my publisher, "Q" of DonnaInk Publications, which is a small, economically disadvantaged, woman-owned publishing initiative who delivers quality creations, heartfelt support, and authorial success in spite of it all.

Mostly, I want to say I appreciate you all as readers who have traversed the Disco Era or heard about it. If you are coming out, in the closest, straight and unafraid of life choices, or as gay as a blue-jay - thank you for being here and sharing this glimpse of history. As a clean adult, post-era, I'm privileged to share a moment of history in recovery and pray the same for each of you.
