Infinite Films To Produce Hip Hop Drama To Educate Teen Girls On Dangers Of Child Sex Trafficking

LOS ANGELES - March 22, 2017 - PRLog -- Infinite Films has announced they are producing the feature film TURNT.  Written and directed by newcomer Meiko Taylor, the script is based on true events and highlights the inner-workings of Child Sex Trafficking in the United States.

Meiko Taylor's hip-hop drama is about an up and coming rapper (Rapper Young Texamill) who turns to sex trafficking a runaway foster care youth (D'Kia Anderson) to fund his dream career.

The film also stars Rod Kelly, Brely Evans, Kevin McCall, Shayla Hale, and Kevin "Damn Fool" Simpson. TURNT is being produced by Meiko Taylor, Ryan McKee, Raquel Scott, and Jovan Dawkins.  The film is currently seeking Executive Producers.

"This film was inspired by my work at a Group Home.  I remember a new girl had just arrived at our facility.  Her pimp drove up to the house and told her to get in the car.  She went with him.  There was nothing we could do except follow standard runaway procedure.  It was a scary and humbling experience.  I decided I had to do something that could teach girls how to recognize recruitment tactics of traffickers and hopefully save a life," said Meiko Taylor.

The statistics surrounding child sex trafficking in the United States are appalling.  The average age a girl is recruited into "The Life" is 12-14 years old.  Traffickers are making upwards to $200k annually off of just 1 girl and they typically have 4-6 girls they are trafficking at one time.  From college campuses, to the mall in suburban areas, to group homes, Traffickers recruit girls from all walks of life and from all different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

Meiko Taylor adds, "There are a number of great documentaries on child sex trafficking, but there is little narrative content that allows young girls to identify with the characters and follow their journey on a more personal level.  We hope to engage a younger audience, entertain, and educate them all at the same time.  We hope to partner with an Executive Producer that believes in helping make a difference."
