Novo Precision Expands Firearms Division

BRISTOL, Conn. - March 15, 2017 - PRLog -- Novo Precision, maker of precision parts and machinery for the wire industry, has diversified with the addition of  manufacturing for the firearm industry.  For years Novo has been known for its high quality wire straightening and processing equipment and contract production services for the medical and aerospace industries amongst others, and has begun the process of diversifying into the growing firearms market.  Company President Bill Hazard has over 10 years experience in senior leadership roles for Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, DPMS, Para, AAC, Tapco, Storm Lake, LAR, Montana Barrel, and Dakota.  "This seemed like a natural progression and diversification move for Novo with our very strong engineering, machining and continuous improvement capabilities" states Hazard.

Novo has started its entry into firearms by manufacturing pistol barrel blanks and small parts including hammers, trigger guards and grip safeties.  The company has available capacity and flexibility to supply both small & large companies.  "We are looking to form partnerships with our customers and be a long term provider of high quality parts, delivered on time and at a fair price" says Hazard.  The company is currently manufacturing many styles of pistol barrels including 1911, Glock, Smith & Wesson and Springfield models for the aftermarket and premium 1911 brands.  Novo also has the engineering capacity to work with companies on their own custom models.  Novo's manufacturing process utilizes CNC machinery allowing them to be very flexible with customer's designs.

Along with the pistol barrels, Novo has also launched a few precision small firearms parts, including trigger guards, hammers and grip safeties.  "We would like to continue to grow in the firearms industry. We feel we manufacture very high quality products utilizing quality systems that are extremely high level compared to most in the industry.  We are always looking for strategic products to launch." states Hazard.
