6th Annual Charity Texas Hold 'Em Tournament

MCKINNEY, Texas - Feb. 23, 2017 - PRLog -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC) is pleased to announce their sixth Annual Charity Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament on Thursday, March 30th, at Gleneagles Country Club. The Title Sponsor for the sixth year is Money Matters with Ken Moraif. BGCCC has branches in the cities of Frisco, McKinney and Plano and serves over 3,000 young people from 5-18 as members. When combined, the after school, summer and outreach programs, touch the lives of 8,500 youth annually. The clubs have continued to grow as this area expands with new companies increasing jobs and bringing families into one of the fastest growing counties in the U.S. "In 2016 alone we grew 20% and these types of fund raising events help us to serve more children," said Debra Sweezer, Chief Operating Officer. "This type of growth brings us closer to having a "Full House" in each of our locations and emphasizes the need for support." The BGCCC has 21 buses that brings members from 69 schools to the branches and has plans to expand to Allen and other cities in Collin County in able to reach more children.

The title sponsor of this event is Money Matters with Ken Moraif and the BGCCC is honored to have Ken and his company helping raise funds for their nationally known programs. Their dedicated and professional staff focuses on Academic Excellence, building Character and Leadership and Health and Life Skills. There programs work, as 100% of the children advance to the next grade level on time, 100% of seniors graduate and go on to community colleges, four year schools or the military and no children are in the juvenile justice system.

"The BGCCC does a great job of accomplishing their mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need them the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. They provide a safe, nurturing environment after school and during the summer with programs that help these children make the right decisions in life," said Ken Moraif.  "I want to do all that I can to provide these children with the tools to build better futures.  They are the key to our future."

This year's event will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Gleneagles Country Club, 5401 West Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093. Doors open at 6:00 pm and seating begins at 7:00 pm. Individual players are to make a $100 donation to BGCCC.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening and blackjack will be available for guests that do not preferpoker for a $50donation.

The BGCCC is also selling raffle tickets for a 7 Night Stay in a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath residence loft in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. This residence loft that sleeps up to 8 people is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and Sierra Madre Mountains by the remarkable Jack Nicklaus signature resort golf course.
