Maven Launches Category Sponsorship for Merchants

Maven has recently launched Category Sponsorship. Merchants can now purchase placement on Mavenx.com to get in front of influencers as they create their product collections intended for sharing across their social connections.

With over 10 categories and nearly 30 slots, merchants can assure that the influencers will be targeted while in the process of curating boards that relate to their brand. Maven also features the brand in multiple monthly newsletters to increase awareness for the brand's program.

Officially launched in December, Maven CEO Jess Waldeck explains the process. "It was important to measure the success of our placement. Maven is not a traditional shopping sites and therefore the traffic metrics are not comparable. But our placement puts a brand in front of an influencer that is a gateway to millions of followers, friends, and family. Not only that, it is placed in a position on the site when he or she is curating the items to go onto their chosen board which is intended to be shared across social media, email, blog and more."

The early results are encouraging. A placement will influence product inclusion to a newly create board. In fact, early calculations show that products from merchant Category Sponsorship are finding their way onto boards over 3 times more than those that are not engaged in Category Sponsorship

Placements are available and are quite affordable ranging from less than a few hundred dollars a month.
