NYC School Allows Kindergarten Child To Be Taken From School By Stranger: Lawsuit

A lawsuit was filed by the family of a New York City elementary school student who was taken from his kindergarten class by an unknown individual.
 
NEW YORK - Jan. 24, 2017 - PRLog -- Imbesi Law P.C. has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a kindergarten student and his family. The case, Maria Benezario De Vicioso, et. al., v. New York City Department of Education, et. al., Index No. 150732/2017, was filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County.

The complaint alleges that P.S. 152 allowed an unknown individual to remove H.J. from his kindergarten class at the end of the school day. H.J.'s teacher failed ask the individual for identification and failed to confirm that she was an individual authorized to pick up H.J from school. H.J. was discovered missing after his grandmother went to pick him up from school. H.J. was missing for over thirty minutes before he was found.

The lawsuit seeks to recover damages for the psychological and emotional harm H.J. suffered.
