BELMAR, N.J. - Jan. 23, 2017 - PRLog -- If you love movies, you'll love the latest issue of New Jersey Stage magazine.  The issue includes a preview of the Spring New Jersey Film Festival  with features on the films The Northlander and Art of the Prank.  It also includes reviews of A United Kingdom and Split, and introduces a new column called Jersey On Film that examines movies in which the Garden State pays a prominent role.

New Jersey Stage magazine is a monthly publication available for free at njartsmag.com - it is designed like a traditional publication with pages that turn, but includes the best features of the web (interactivity, audio, video, and portability) to create an arts & entertainment magazine unlike anything else.  While the publication looks great on any PC or tablet, most of its readers enjoy it on their smartphone.  Unlike many publications, New Jersey Stage is designed to be completely readable (even on a smartphone) without the need to zoom in on the text.

In addition to the film articles, the issue contains a feature on the rootsy North Jersey band, The Bitter Chills; a look at the recently released Rock Against Hate compilation; CD reviews; theatre preview; music videos; regular columns; and more.

The cover story is an interview with the legendary prankster and social activist Joey Skaggs, whose career is profiled in the film Art of the Prank.  The interview takes a look at why Skaggs does what he does and whether he believes he is one of the founders of "fake news."

Jersey On Film kicks off its series with a look at Danny Collins, a film starring Al Pacino as an aging rock and roller who receives a letter written by John Lennon that was supposed to have been delivered to him decades ago.  The film's cast includes Annette Bening, Christopher Plummer, Bobby Cannavale, and Jennifer Garner.

Every issue of New Jersey Stage is available for free at NJartsmag.com and back issues may be accessed there as well.
