Follow on Google News | ![]() Graphic designer turned HK investment banker now worth 500MBy: Sino US International Business Group, Co., Limited Independent News Correspondent HONG KONG, January 22, 2017: Now for a little change in pace. Roy McClanahan, by trade, an American award-winning graphic designer, has done something most of us have never done...or would ever attempt to do. In 2009 he pulled up stakes and moved to Shenzhen, China to meet his future Chinese wife of whom he met online. But that's not the most remarkable thing. After several years of far east living and struggling to make ends meet with his new wife, Rose, he decided to shake things up a little and, for the most part, put away his paints and rapidograph pens for the chance of a lifetime...becoming vice president of a Hong Kong investment bank. The CEO of a large corporation, and long time friend of his new wife, appointed McCLanahan to the position after having him onboard as Art Director a few years. The bank deals in mainly commercial real estate, hi-tech, agriculture and energy investments. "Its just something I couldn't pass up.", says McClanahan. "I still do a lot of design. But only projects I want to do." Must be nice. Now, after three years on the job, how's McClanahan doing? Well, sources say his part of the company is now worth about $465M...USD. That's almost a half billion dollars, folks. Not bad for three years of work. I thought this story of good fortune was a needed change, what with all the mud slinging and mayhem out there. You go, Roy! I can call you, Roy...right? http://susibg.com/ End
