Follow on Google News | Pulse Uniform Takes "Let's Build a Healthy Community" Initiative on Christmas 2016Children and Young Adults Benefit from Warm Clothes in Winter Colds
By: Pulse Uniform Let's Build a Healthy Community (LBHC) performed its first activity by making a generous donation of warm clothing items to The Center for Children & Young Adults (CCYA), helping children and youth of Atlanta metro area who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned by their caregivers, residing in the shelter home of CCYA. In the severe cold and dry weather of Marietta, GA, the kids and young adults living in CCYA's shelter home were susceptible to suffer from cold, dry skin, painful joints, sore throat, and flu. Therefore, LBHC crew decided to visit CCYA and share warm clothing items including shirts, hoodies, pants, jackets, and socks among the kids and young adults, protecting them from the rigors of the cold weather. Members of the donation drive visited CCYA and found that the organization had been doing its best to serve deprived kids and young adults, and make them capable of living on their own. However, there was still a deficiency of funds and resources to meet their goals and objectives for the welfare work. CCYA supervisor Angela informed us that, "We gratefully accept your donations on behalf of our homeless teens and young adults at the Center for Children and Young Adults. Charmaine Cockrell is our Resource Development Officer. And he is thankful for your efforts for such a kind act." Commenting on the donation, LBHS Supervisor, Mr. Farooqui noted, "I am pleased that we are able to help these kids and teens, at the same time, contribute to the mission of CCYA. I believe that our Let's Build a Healthy Community will bring fruitful results for our society." http://www.pulseuniform.com/ End
