Servowatch to supply two more Royal Navy Offshore Patrol Vessels with its most advanced IPMS

Servowatch,a leadingUK supplierofadvancedintegratedshipcontrol systems,is supplyingitsIntegratedPlatformManagement System (IPMS)totheinitial thre River-class Offshore Patrol Vessels(OPVs)builtbyBAE SystemsNaval Shipsfor theUK Royal Navy.  IthasalsosecuredasecondcontractforthesupplyofitsIPMS systems toTAMAR andSPEY,afurther two vesselsannouncedbytheGovernment in theStrategicDefenceand Security Reviewin November2015.

ServowatchSystems' scope ofsupplycomprisesan IPMS control andmonitoring packagefor the vessels' propulsion,power generation,HeatingVentilationandAir Conditioning, fire-detection, tankgauging systemsand auxiliaries' services.

TheUK-headquarteredcompanyhasinvestedheavily in thedesignand development ofthenext generationIPMS systems.Designed to commercial or militarystandards, principallyfornaval or largercomplexcommercialvessels,Servowatchoffersa range ofbespoke solutions toprovidepropulsion, electrical andauxiliaryplant management from multifunctionworkstationswith automation programmed intothe system.

The vesselswill be modifiedversion ofaprovenOPV designalready inservice with theBrazilianNavyand Royal Thai Navywith more storage, accommodationfacilities and aflight deckcapableofoperating thelatestMerlin Helicopters.Manufactureof thefirstfourships is alreadyunderwayatBAE Systems' Glasgowfacilities.
