HOLLISTER, Calif. - Jan. 5, 2017 - PRLog -- "Nothing remains the same. . . . Some changes we initiate and welcome, but many come unannounced. . . .

All change involves inevitable loss and anticipated gain. . . . We naturally enjoy the gains but may struggle with the losses. We grieve the loss of a comforting familiarity. We feel sadness. However, if we become stuck in our sorrow, become preoccupied with what could have been, without hope for a new life, we become depressed. Life loses its joy. The hope for happiness is dashed. Our depressed mood may progress to the point that we say to ourselves, 'I'm powerless over my depression; my life has become unmanageable because of it.' At the brink of despair, feeling possessed and powerless, our depression has become an addiction. It has become like a drug that takes over our lives."
