Carl B. Phillips Receive Six 2017 Radio Alliance Awards Nominations
Debut CD "Great Rain" by Carl B. Phillips and Friends recognized for versatility of musical styles with nominations in Contemporary and Traditional Categories

The Radio Alliance Awards, are presented by The Independent Gospel Artist Radio Alliance and are designed to celebrate the Arts in Worship. The noteworthy achievement was created to give honor and recognition for talent, relentless hard work, dedication and commitment by members of the independent artist community who are active in ministry and are actively supporting their local ministries.

About Carl B. Phillips
Carl B. Phillips has been living gospel music for over 40 years. In his formative years Carl participated as a member of Cass Technical High School Gospel Choir, and the Donald Vail's Voices of Deliverance. Carl is a songwriter, producer, and recording artist with his first full-length cd, featuring the hit singles "Great Rain," "Meeting In The Air" and "I Know What God Did Last Summer" released January 2016.
A graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcasting, Carl's career in Detroit Gospel Radio, includes Weekend Radio Announcer on WMKM 1440 AM, On Air Announcer, Music and Program Director for WWON 1160 AM, also Weeknight Announcer and Music Director of WEXL 1340 AM.
Outside of radio and gospel music, Carl's talents have allowed him to work as the local booking coordinator for the Motor City Praise Fest (at the time one on the nation's largest outdoor gospel music festival), serve on the staff of Dr. Dorinda Clark's Cole Singers Musicians and Arts Conference, and a staff writer for Detroitgospel.com.
