NAME Edu (NAMEedu.in) is the official academic partner of recently concluded 'India Speed Week'

KOLKATA, India - Dec. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- How about some speed, some roaring of engines and everything fast and furious that too in the city of joy and happiness, Kolkata? Recently, the city saw the best sights of rolling down the tracks at the India Speed Week 2016. Held successfully at the Behala Flying Club, ISW'16 was organized in collaboration with Elite Octane Inc. with approvals from the FMSCI (Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India). It was a 3 – day long event that witnessed over 7000 attendees of all age groups. Some of its main events of attractions were -

For the lovers of speed

Not just 4-wheelers, the attendees were also fortunate to take a look at 2-wheelers of different types, categories, capacities and sizes at the event. For the lovers of machines, pistons, wheels, dirt and roads, ISW'16 was a perfect amalgamation of events. It featured a full-fledged range of cars and bikes including high-end automobile brands like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Maserati, Aston Martin, Mahindra, Suzuki, Mini Cooper, Indian, Chevrolet, Mercedes, Polaris, Skoda, Honda, Triumph, KTM, Hexa, Kawasaki and some amazing vintage cars.

An eventful eveving

Oh wait! It was 'a dream come true' like feeling for many, especially the participants, to see the self-proclaimed speed lover and biking enthusiast John Abraham, the Bollywood superstar himself to flag off the racers on the day of inauguration. Other celebrities who were seen at the event – Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Baichung Bhutia and many more.

Mr. Amit Kumar Modi, the Chairman of ISW, was very happy and he said that it was his long time dream to host a Drag Racing event with 4 & 2 wheelers. He also added that, it gives him immense pleasure to flag the event off in Kolkata, his very own city, itself.

An event without food is no event, this is what foodies feel. ISW'16 didn't disheartened the food lovers as well, as there were a number of food stalls out there that served mouth watering food.

Opportunity at its best

The leading Kolkata based professional institute, the National Academy of Media and Events, popularly known as Name Edu or N.A.M.E. was the official academic partner of India Speed Week'16. The enthusiastic students of the institute worked their best for the mega event. Being able to be associated with such a colossal event was a great opportunity for them.

Altogether, ISW'16 has taken the City of Joy to a completely new level and placed it on the national as well as international map of airstrip racing.
