-- FidoFoods.com announced today that it has been acquired in a confidential deal by a Midwest based pet supply company.
Fido Foods based in New York City, was an online retailer that specialized in on-demand and same-day pet food delivery to the 5 boroughs of New York City. Customers had the ability to order 24/7 from their computer or smartphone and have their pet food delivered within 2 hours anywhere within the city; including to their offices, hotels and heliports. The company was started by a Newport Beach, CA based entrepreneur and his wife.
The acquiring company found the 2-year-old internet retailer attractive for its customer facing interface, recurring order management, its extensive back-end technology and pet food provision contracts for service dogs.
Fido Foods' retail operations in the New York City and East Coast market will discontinue as of December 30, 2016 and the company will cease operations under the Fido Foods brand. No further information could be provided because the deal was confidential.http://www.FidoFoods.com
