STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Dec. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Another feather in its cap for The Stop Bullying Project®! Mynding My Own Bizness™ Entertainment wins its third film award at America's Rainbow Inaugural Annual Film Festival Presented by HBO®. The Bully earned nominations in three categories. The festival held in New York City, December 20-22, 2016 at the historical Sunshine Cinemas. The Bully earned five previous film festivals nods, winning two festivals in the category of Best Narrative Short Film.

The winning short film was shown to an audience and panel of judges on the night of the Festival's inaugural debut amongst other films in the same category. A Q & A followed with Executive Producer Maurice Wilson, Writer/Artist Jiggy Jada, and actor John Echo who plays Buck's father in the movie.

The Bully tells the tale of a Muslim girl, "Erika", who starts a new school and finds herself the victim of relentless bullying. In the resulting emotional turmoil, she finds allies and salvation in unexpected places. The Bully tackles not only the issues of bullying, but that of racism, religion, and sexuality. It is a story of intolerance, but also a story of kindness, forgiveness, and redemption.

The film stars Staten Island teen actors, Charles Keppler and Sarah Altreche. The short film is the inspired and written work of Staten Islander and recording artist/writer/activist, Jiggy Jada, (Co-CEO Mynding My Own Bizness™ Entertainment, and Co-Founder The Stop Bullying Project®)
