By: Fresh Entertainment Bahamas Ltd. https://www.youtube.com/ The event was the brainchild of Ja Rule, who has a vested interest in the Bahamas as one of the creators of the Fyre Festival slated to take place in the Exuma's April 2017. The NEMA-Bahamas, sanctioned event was met with quite a few challenges, however; the show continued accompanied by a live webathon streamed across serval new media outlets including Allhiphop Renaissance. The online portion of the project was produced by #FreshEntBah and BTC Flow TV. Farreno Ferguson aka F.Dot of BTC and Chuck Creekmur of AllHipHop kept online viewers informed and entertained in between performances. The two-hour webathon gave viewers a glimpse of the devastation in Grand Bahama and Andros. Additionally, artists on the ticket had an opportunity to share their reasons for supporting the cause. It should be noted, that this was a labor of love produced by artists for the people of a place they deem as their second home. The Ja Rule & Friends Bahamas Hurricane relief event was a humanitarian act created around professional industry relationships to garner a wider range of support globally. All artists donated their time and resources, some turned down gigs, to assist in raising awareness and funds for the people of the Bahamas as they struggle to rebuild, recover and return to normalcy. The online effort will continue into the New Year with crowdfunding to support international and domestic pledges. Please visit FreshEntBah.com to make your contribution.
