Asset TV's Twitter Live Stream: A World First
By: Asset TV
Prior to the video's launch, all live-streamed videos linked to Twitter required users to click a link to the live streaming website Periscope. With this latest innovation, a live-streamed video could be viewed instantaneously on Twitter's live feed.
The 30 minute live show, streamed from Asset TV's industry leading NYC webcasting studio, consisted of a roundup of some of the hottest content to appear on Asset TV's US site in the last week, along with discussions of the latest developments in the world of finance. Specific videos featured in the stream included an interview with KellyAnne Conway, the Trump campaign manager and a discussion of the Fed's rate hike by Bob Doll, Nuveen's Portfolio Manager and Chief Equity Strategist.
Asset TV was able to pioneer this cutting edge technology after receiving communication from Twitter that they were launching a live streaming feature on their website. As innovative online video content producers, Asset TV US' management was keen to exploit this exciting new video promotion platform and at 12pm on Friday became the first ever Twitter users to premiere a show by using Twitter live video.
Gillian Kemmerer, Head of Programming, and Tad Fabiaschi, VP Audience Development, presented the show, along with Maya Chung, Junior Researcher and Presenter, who fielded burning questions provided by viewers.
On being the first company to premiere a show live on Twitter, presenter Gillian Kemmerer said, "It's excellent to interact with our viewers in this new way. Asset TV has a new platform to share the thought leadership provided to us by some of the world's top financiers."
Asset TV plans to continue its Twitter series, with another update streaming live on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016, again at midday. Watch the series and follow Asset TV on Twitter on https://twitter.com/
