PALM BEACH, Fla. - Dec. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- On Friday, March 10, the annual Alzheimer's Association Rita Hayworth Luncheon will take place at The Colony Hotel to raise funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research programs.

This special fundraising event is being co-hosted by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, the daughter of legendary movie star and dancer Rita Hayworth who passed away from Alzheimer's disease. For the third year in a row in Palm Beach, the other co-host is internationally renowned designer Carleton Varney, the creative force behind the vibrant "re-imagining" of The Colony Hotel and the Pavilion ballroom, in which the luncheon is being held.

Founded by Princess Yasmin Aha Khan in honor of her mother, the Alzheimer's Association Rita Hayworth events have a long history of dedication to the Alzheimer's cause. The first Rita Hayworth Gala was held in New York City in 1984, and the event expanded to include Chicago and Palm Beach. To date, under Aga Khan's leadership, more than $70 million has been raised for the Alzheimer's Association as a result of the Rita Hayworth Gala events.

Tickets to attend the Rita Hayworth Luncheon at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach are $300 to $500 each and may be reserved by calling 312.604.1680.
