Longtime Paint Store Business Owners Sell Building and Relocate

ST. LOUIS - Dec. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Hilliker Corporation, a commercial real estate company in St. Louis, Mo., recently designed a deal that was a perfect fit for both of its clients.

Strothkamp Bros. Inc., an independent Benjamin Moore paint retailer, sold its more than 6,000-square-foot 14390 Manchester headquarters for $500,000 to Comfort Shoe Specialists.  Strothkamp Bros., a 60-year-old business owned by brothers Bob and Harry Strothkamp, relocated to a leased space at 14664 Manchester.

Comfort Shoe Specialists, an independent business that offers personalized shoe and orthotic fitting as well as custom lifts and modifications to footwear, is owned by Arthur Simonyan.  The company, which is currently located at 11693 Manchester in Des Peres, will move into its new space by the beginning of February.  Edith James, Certified Pedorthist and founder, continues as General Manager.

Renovations of approximately $200,000 will include recreating the full-service pedorthic facility that will feature state-of-the-art digital as well as traditional orthotics and custom shoe laboratory, private casting/exam spaces, and well-dressed showroom.  Comfort Shoe Specialists offers one of the country's largest footwear selections with over $1 million in product inventory.  The company serves clientele that includes children, professionals, walkers and those challenged with stability issues by offering solutions that produce comfort, support and style.
