America's Most-Liked Wrestling closed out a very successful 2016 with a TV taping at the Benton Convention Center on November 26, 2016 as part of WrestleCade Weekend.  Occurring at the same time as the famed WrestleCade Fanfest, AML brought out its very best in front of an audience of thousands.  Here are the official results!

"White" Mike Jordan defeated Timmy Lou Retton, Billy Brash, and "The Revolutionary" Darius Lockhart when Jordan pinned Timmy Lou Retton after the Can Opener.   This match showcased four men who are trying to get in the AML title picture, and Jordan's long winning streak continues.

Darby Allin defeated Jason Cade by pinfall.  This was a tightly-fought contest of two men in their AML debuts.

Axton Ray upset Mr. Excellence Brandon Scott in the match to decide the #1 contender to Jordan Kage's AML Prestige Championship.  These two competitors were former tag team partners torn apart when Scott turned on Axton after their Cornette Cup loss in October.  Axton was able to utilize his guile and quickness to upset his more-experienced former friend by pinfall.  Axton Ray will face the AML Prestige Champion January 28 in Winston-Salem at the AML Second Anniversary Event.

AML Prestige Champion Jordan Kage beat JJ Blake and Caleb Konley to retain the AML Prestige Championship.  In a match that featured the incumbent Prestige titleholder Kage against top Reality of Wrestling contender JJ Blake and the fast-rising Konley, Kage ambushed JJ Blake right after Blake hit the "Blake End" uranagi on Conley, hitting the Fuzzy Eight-by-Ten to get the pinfall and retain the title.  Jordan Kage's next title defense will be on January 28 when he battles Axton Ray in Winston-Salem.

In a Number-One Contenders Match for the AML Wrestling Tag-Team Championship, The Dixon Line (Ken Dixon and Joe Keys w/Robert Locke) defeated Labron-James (James Ryan and Labron Kozone), The Young Lions (Lex Lee and Kevin Kaufman) and The Heat Seekers (Sigmon and Elliot Russell) when Ken Dixon pinned James Ryan.  The Dixon Line, still undefeated as a tag team, is now the next team in line to face the incumbent champions the Geordie Bulldogs.

Montana Black won a 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal to advance to the George South Invitational Battle Royal later in the evening.   Black, who had been featured in Future Stars of AML matches previously but was not a member of the main roster, upset a large field to win a slot at the WrestleCade main show.  Black eliminated the returning El Blanco Gordito to win.

Damien Wayne defeated Matt Lancie by pinfall after a top rope elbow drop.  This was a special challenge by Lancie, a top contender in Wildkat Pro Wrestling in Louisiana.  For reasons known only to Lancie, he interfered in Wayne's AML Wrestling Championship match against Zane Dawson and King Shane Williams, costing Wayne the match.  After a wild brawl, Wayne was able to defeat Lancie.  Lancie is demanding a rematch in Louisiana at a later date.

Zane Dawson and Steve Corino battled to a no-contest.  In a bout that pitted the former ECW World Champion against the most vicious brawler in AML, the match was thrown out thanks to interference from Sigmon and Elliot Russell (who attacked Corino) and CW Anderson and Jack Victory (who came to Corino's aid).  After a wild brawl, a match was signed for Wrestlecade where all parties would battle in a 5 on 5 tag team match.

King Shane Williams (w/Queen Taylor)  beat John Skyler after a piledriver.  With apologies to Cedric Alexander, this match with the hottest unsigned name in the region was the toughest challenge for AML's King and Queen to date.  King Shane was equal to the challenge, as he was able to counter an attempted tiger bomb by Skyler into a piledriver and a clean three-count.  King Shane Williams enters 2017 as STILL the AML Wrestling Champion.

AML rings in the new year with the AML Second Anniversary Event on January 28 at the newly-remodeled Winston-Salem National Guard Armory in Winston-Salem, NC.  Already signed to the event: Global Force Wrestling Next Gen champion Cody Rhodes, Sonjay Dutt, King Shane Williams, Axton Ray, AML Prestige Champion Jordan Kage, and more!  Get your advanced tickets and follow the news at AMLwrestling.com.
