United Premier Soccer League Announces AGM at Upcoming Los Angeles NSCAA Convention

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce its 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in conjunction with the upcoming National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Annual Convention, being held Jan. 11-15, 2017, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The UPSL will host its AGM in the Gold Ballroom Salon 2 starting at 2:00 PM at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, a hotel partner for the NSCAA Convention, and located just steps from L.A. Live near Staples Center. The UPSL AGM will include "Get to know the UPSL Section". All interested team representatives and team coaches are invited on an invitation basis only. 30 seats will available on a first come first serve basis as ownership groups, coaches will be vetted accordingly.

The 2017 UPSL Annual General Meeting will be the start of an unprecedented year of growth for the league as it pushes toward a goal of 80 member teams and moves forward with a first for North American soccer -- the UPSL Promotion/Relegation Model.

The AGM will cover such topics as league expansion, Promotion-Relegation, UPSL Pro Premier and UPSL Championship Divisions, Sponsorship and club Public Relations and Marketing, UPSL rules and regulations and more. It will be the first time UPSL has held its AGM at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and offering a front-row seat to all of its world-class sports and entertainment.

The hotel is within walking distance of the city's most noteworthy attractions like L.A. Live, Staples Center and more. With over 75,000 feet of event space and an experienced planning and catering staff, the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE provides a genuine luxury experience right in the heart of one of the nation's most distinctive downtown settings.

Billed as 'The Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators,' the NSCAA Convention and U.S. Youth Soccer Workshop brings together more than 6,300 coaches and 11,000 attendees. Over five days there will be 250 educational opportunities at the NSCAA Convention, which runs Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 through Sunday, Jan. 15.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 50 teams in California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho and Colorado. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 60-plus teams targeted for 2017 Winter/Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining UPSL minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to pa rticipate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
