Street dog comes to the rescue of homeless dogs

HASTINGS, U.K. - Dec. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Street Dogs Come to the Rescue of Homeless Dogs this Christmas

To help homeless dogs this Christmas, City Dog Expert and Rockster superfood for dogs have teamed up with 2 charities on the South East to deliver dog food, toys, treats and necessities to homeless dogs in need.

With the mission to help leave "no dog hungry", their donations are being split between "Warming Up The Homeless" and "Doms Food Mission" to make sure that vulnerable dogs are remembered this season.

With so many shelters and housing associations refusing to accept homeless people with pets, many vulnerable people are choosing to stay on the streets in order to stay with their K9 companions.

"If we can make a difference for just one day, we have to try", says Kimberly Freeman the CEO of City Dog Expert. "There are so many homeless and vulnerable pet owners that put their pet's health before their own. This means that donations and Big Issue sales that should be helping the humans, are often spent on the K9s instead. If we can release the burden of someone struggling to feed both themselves and their pets, we will feel we made a small difference. Hopefully some good food, toys and blankets will help make a difference and bring a bit of festive cheer to those people and dogs in need"

With both company CEO's having adopted street dogs, the cause was very close to their hearts.

Freeman will be heading to East Sussex from Wednesday onwards to deliver care packages to the street dogs and also supplies for their owners for Christmas. Local people and pet companies have been fantastic at donating to the cause.
