Local Human Services Organization #SurpriseTheStruggling Inc. Honored at 3rd Annual Fundraiser

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Dec. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- The 3^rd Annual B2BAB Blessing Bag Fundraiser Brunch was held on Saturday, December 10^th at the Brooklyn College Academy. Dr. Jacquelyn Wilson and her organization, #Surprisethestruggling Inc., was one of the organizations and women honored at the 2016 Fundraiser. One hundred plus women and young girls attended. The Blessing Bag is a unique give back opportunity and female empowerment platform for women and young girls committed to aide in the fight against homelessness created by POYED by Velvette's CEO and Founder, Velvette Mattison-Batson, I.E.W.P.

Hosted by Spirited Speaker, Ms. Robin E. Devonish, the day's festivities was a grand success. Women came together, celebrated, and honored one another's efforts and contributions to their communities, cities, and global outreach. Business owners and entrepreneurs donated over 2,800 sanitary /toiletry items placed into Blessings Bags for donation to the less fortunate. Blessing bags were created during the brunch.

The award ceremony recognized women and teenage girls who have exhibited B2BAB Initiatives and core belief that the greatest gift is to become the Blessing. Those recognized along with Dr. Wilson and Surprise The Struggling were: SmHEARTgirls Founder and Facilitator AP, Lynelle Rennis, P.R.a.D.A, NP Founders Janine Smalls-Gueye and Lanise Herman-Thomas with their Executive Staff, POYED by Velvette's Event Specialist www.poyedbyvelvette.wixsite.com/boutique-events, Charice Williams and Founders of Positive Teen Seen, Quasbah Virginie, and Chance Haynes. These extraordinary women and young girls made history as the first honorees of B2BAB annual Blessing Bag Fundraiser.


#SurpriseTheStruggling, Inc. is a human service nonprofit organization that serves the homeless and less fortunate communities. Founder and Executive Director Dr. Jacquelyn Wilson, created #SurpriseTheStruggling as a global hashtag campaign in order to connect people all over the world with the common goal of helping fill a need. Gently used or new purses and knapsacks are filled with toiletries to be given to homeless women and teen girls to help them facilitate hygienically. With a team of Global Ambassadors, the mission of #STSGlobal has increased its efforts and reach. The organization is currently surprising the struggling in Kenya, Jamaica, Haiti, Canada, as well across America.
