Appraising Gems & Jewelry for Advanced Assignments: Development and Report Writing

RESTON, Va. - Dec. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Society of Appraisers announces its Appraising Gems & Jewelry for Advanced Assignments: Development and Report Writing course (http://www.appraisers.org/Education/View-Class?ClassID=3689) to be held on Wednesday, March 8-Friday, March 10, 2017 in Carlsbad, CA.

GJ203 is a required course for accreditation as a Gems and Jewelry appraiser in ASA. The advanced curriculum builds on the terminology and valuation theory learned in PG201 and GJ202. The material covered in GJ203 includes topics not taught in previous GJ Principles of Valuation (PoV) courses, such as analyzing comparable sales results and writing a convincing argument supporting the value conclusion. The course provides students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence required to complete challenging assignments such as appraising for estate tax, equitable distribution or insurance loss claim. Upon Completion of GJ203, the student will better understand narrative appraisal report writing consistent with USPAP and ASA report writing requirements and the student will be able to recognize and address special considerations necessary for unique and challenging assignments. Additional benefits of the course include networking with top-level appraisers from across the country in a small group of highly motivated learners, whose interaction will enhance participants' understanding of the material.
