VERONA, Italy - Dec. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- In the late 19th century, the shining flash of European horns came across the dark rumble of African drums. The city as a smoky, claustrophobic tangle of brick streets was the birthplace of American music. This music has been making people feel alive, getting up and dancing. Nobody has ever been able to play it like they did in New Orleans but The Original Perdido Jazz Band is now out on digital stores with a collection of 4 albums that will make that good old vibe come alive again. Perdido Street is one of the most popular streets in New Orleans and the members of the band, even though they are Italian, they seem have been born and bred just round the corner of Storyville district.

The Original Perdido Jazz Band performs in the typical dixieland formation: trumpet, clarinet / sax and trombone backed by a rhythmical section consisting of banjo, bass, drums and piano. Their repertoire is based upon music from the first recordings of the post-war period and the '50s, particularly that of Louis Armstrong Hot Five - Hot Seven, performed in an aggressive, instinctive, vibrant mood, which is able to perfectly recreate the pleasant, warm, sensual atmosphere of the early years of jazz.

Jazz wasn't born on a particular day and it wasn't a single person or just one race that created it. The essences and emotions of many people, a cultural melting pot, many flavors of different tastes were responsible for creating something so special.  If you wish, you can call it "Gumbo" like they do in New Orleans.

Here are their albums which are now available on i-Tunes, Amazon, Spotify and all the main digital music stores:
