By: Bamboo Shoot Music Kristin Cotts is an accomplished singer-songwriter, composer, and instrumentalist. Her lyrically-driven, sometimes humorous, always provocative songs evoke the best of the songwriters of the sixties and seventies and contain an eclectic modern sensibility. She has shared the stage with Maria Muldaur and Karla Bonoff and was recently interviewed by WBEZ (NPR) host Tony Sarabia about her song "If My Sister's Broken," a tribute to the Water Protectors in North Dakota. Harriet Nzinga Plumpp, an acclaimed vocalist and performer, has been seen and heard on Chicago's most prestigious stages, including the Goodman Theatre, the Court Theatre, MCA, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. She begins rehearsals for Sweeney Todd at Paramount Theater this January. As a singer and actor, she has worked with such luminaries as Hal Prince, Jr., Stephen Flaherty and Stephen Sondheim and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. At this concert they will weave together a collection Broadway's best, rock classics, and Kristin's originals to create a rich tapestry of words and music that speak to the needs of our changing and, at times, tumultuous world. All proceeds will be donated to the Water Protectors at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. Email info@kristincotts.com with questions. More information at http://www.kristincotts.com. End
