LOS ANGELES - Dec. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- BOSSIER CITY, LOUISIANA --- "For love he's ready to die, but--- he never planned on murder. Sandro now runs from killers, he once called friends. Foolish mistakes could cost him everything he's earned including --- his fame, career... and, possibly the, most-important, man in his life."  This is the "logline" which accompanies the manuscript of a new, romance/thriller by author, Marcinho Savant. "Luz do Sol" (working title) which has a mere seventy days in which to secure the public support necessary to win a publishing agreement on the Inkshares platform on which it is hosted.

The piece is, arguably, as a romance/thriller, the first-ever LGBT-themed work of the genre.

The book, written with a cinematic property in mind, is also a participant in the Inkshares 2016 Launch Pad Manuscript Competition, and is seeking public support to bring this piece to market for the community-issue it portrays. The Launch Pad Manuscript Competition, is dedicated to discovering new authors with strong cinematic voices, and working with them to introduce their work to the entertainment industry and publishing worlds alike. Scott Free, the production company of director/producer Ridley Scott will option at least one winning project, Energy Entertainment will sign and represent at least one writer, and Inkshares will publish and distribute a minimum of three winners digitally and physically in bookstores across the world.

The journalist, playwright, commentator, and reviewer has penned a 300+ page novel which contemplates the complexities of a modern-day relationship between two powerful, successful, men. Their riches, and celebrity, however--- do not insulate them from the horrors of hate, and crime. The cut-off date for the project's crowd funding is two months from the date of this announcement.  If it fails to be supported by the public, it will not see the sunlight of day.

"Luz do Sol" ("Sunlight") is a sexy, luxurious, romance thriller set in the wealthy and diverse "Zona Sul" ("South Zone"- comprised of Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana districts and others), the poorest favelas, yacht and country clubs of Rio de Janeiro, Brasil--- where penthouse culture meets the hard, dangerous streets of Rio and the marble-floored offices of the powerful Brasilian elite.

When a national celebrity, billionaire, athlete falls in love with an American, best-selling writer and librettist, his secret personal orientation becomes public knowledge in the country--- and worldwide. His love for the American is strong... and deeply requited.

How can he love honestly, when it could well destroy his career, his fortune, his national stature as a hero and possibly end his life in the offing?

Constructed on a mélange of secrecy, dirty cops, sadistic, hate-fueled murder, cover-ups, brutality, survival and devotion to the art of being in a durable and significant and loving relationship with your perfect mate after a lifetime of searching --- despite all the many risks, dangers and threats from every corner. Samba, Carnaval, upscale living and a new-found love that is entirely hopeless... or is it?

The novel has already been evaluated by an international, unpaid, focus group, assembled for that purpose by the author and his team. One panelist stated, "Remarkable, engaging! It kept my attention through out [sic] the entire book! There were no dozing pages that bore you to death! It was riveting! A non-stop thrill ride to the very end."

Another remarked, "The book completely captured me. It was easy reading and I could keep up with it well. The story is so vividly written that I can still see it in my mind. It was also a learning experience for someone like me who will never have that type of wealth or way of living. A true champion in the realm of love stories."

Their, overwhelmingly supportive, commentary can be found here: "Luz do Sol" Focus Group Reviews (http://www.marcinhosavant.com/focus-group-commentary-luz-...).  Submitted in one particular query to a major house, one editor's comment read: "...the premise is instantly enticing..."
