PODS® of Lexington gathers donations for Faith and Community Christmas Store

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Dec. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- For this holiday season, PODS of Lexington and the 21st Annual Faith and Community Christmas Store are asking the Lexington community to donate gently used and new toys, books and games to benefit the 2016 Faith and Community Christmas Store, where underprivileged community members can shop for gifts this holiday season.

PODScontainers will be placed at various satellite drop-off centers serving as collection points now through Dec.14. Toys can be directly donated to the Southland Christian Church at their Richmond Road campus starting Dec. 15. The Faith and Community Christmas Store will be held at Southland Christian Church on Richmond Rd Campus and will be open Dec. 19 through Dec. 21 from 8:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m.

The Catholic Action Center is a faith-based center providing families with a safe place to have a shower, enjoy a warm meal, and a place to connect with social services. The center does not receive government funding, so its volunteers strive to provide all guests with a welcoming place to receive their basic needs.
