SAN LEANDRO, Calif. - Dec. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- HardwareCon merges with Hardware Massive
Annual Conference Merges with International Hardware Platform to Enhance Benefits to Hardware Ecosystems

San Leandro, CA --- December 6th, 2016 --- HardwareCon, the annual gathering for hardware start-ups, investors and support companies, and Hardware Massive, have announced that the two organizations are partnering to leverage their respective efforts to provide more extensive services and access to the newly combined communities.  The entities will retain their separate names, but will combine teams and efforts moving forward.

HardwareCon has been designed and developed exclusively for hardware startup entrepreneurs and is structured to help founders catapult their businesses to the next levels of success.   With the initial two-day conference in 2015, HardwareCon attracted world-wide attention from key players in the hardware industry, from the largest suppliers like Panasonic and Autodesk, to tiny start-ups who came to participate in the pitch contest and demo their innovative new hardware products and companies.  Hardware Massive – formed in 2016 – has quickly reached 22 chapters around the world – and is continuing to add new chapters at about 2 per quarter.  The monthly events held in the local chapters keep resident entrepreneurs connected and abreast of larger issues, best practices and opportunities.

"Hardware Massive is an international organization now with chapters across the US, Europe and Asia," said Erik Katz, a co-founder of HardwareCon and Makers at the Mint.  "Bringing the international reach and communities of Hardware Massive into the fold with HardwareCon will benefit those communities as well as our own."

"We felt that the whole of the hardware eco-system would benefit by our combining efforts," said Greg Fisher, founder of Hardware Massive and Berkeley Sourcing Group.  "Our sponsors appreciate the enhanced reach and our entrepreneurs benefit from access to best practices from around the world."

Hardware Massive chapters are run locally with oversight from the main organization and each chapter can host monthly events and networking opportunities.  HardwareCon is a San Francisco Silicon Valley based conference that is hosted annually.  Over the two–day event, participants can attend hands-on classes at HardwareU, will interact with subject matter experts running hands-on workshops, attend mentor and funder one-on-one sessions, and enjoy content focused on building a company to take category-killing products to market.   The next HardwareCon is scheduled to take place on March 24 – March 25th 2017 in San Leandro, CA.

About Our Sponsors:

ANSYS

Founded in 1970, ANSYS employs nearly 3,000 professionals, many of whom are expert M.S. and Phd.-level engineers in finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, electronics, semiconductors, embedded software and design optimization. Our exceptional staff is passionate about pushing the limits of world-class simulation technology so our customers can turn their design concepts into successful, innovative products faster and at lower cost.  As a measure of our success in attaining these goals, ANSYS has been recognized as one of the world's most innovative companies by prestigious publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek and FORTUNE magazines.

If you've ever seen a rocket launch, flown on an airplane, driven a car, used a computer, touched a mobile device, crossed a bridge, or put on wearable technology, chances are you've used a product where ANSYS software played a critical role in its creation. ANSYS is the global leader in engineering simulation. We help the world's most innovative companies deliver radically better products to their customers. By offering the best and broadest portfolio of engineering simulation software, we help them solve the most complex design challenges and engineer products limited only by imagination.

ANSYS recently developed a Startup Program to allow new companies access to these same products that industry leaders depend on. The ANSYS Startup Program gives eligible entrepreneurs full access to simulation software bundles that are built and priced to help grow their business quickly and cost-effectively. We realize that in the early stages of starting a business there is often limited funding and little to no revenue. We created this program to help startups grow their business to its full potential using the best tools possible — ANSYS simulation solutions — with a minimal initial investment. Many of the world's greatest companies began as startups and ANSYS is committed to partnering with today's startups to help them grow into tomorrow's industry leaders.

As a partner in the Startup Program, you will gain instant access to ANSYS solutions so you can start building prototypes of your new products in our risk-free virtual environment. These virtual prototypes can be modified and tested with simulation hundreds of times in the same time it would take to build and test one physical prototype –saving you time and money as you work to perfect your product design. The partnership gives you access to our full portfolio of multiphysics simulation bundles, including the Structural and Fluids bundle and the Electromagnetics bundle. Additional benefits include marketing opportunities with ANSYS and access to our Customer Portal for self-guided support.
